Have you seen the clever No-Melt Pop Invitations in the August issue of Living?
It is my roommate Jen’s birthday (today!), so my sister and
I turned to Blake and Athena’s summer invites when attempting to spread the word about her party this weekend. It was really a spur of the moment decision, and these were easy to make and assemble on a single tabletop in our teensy apartment. We got vellum from Staples (you can find it at Office Depot as well) and surprisingly cheap glassine from New York Central in some of Jen’s favorite colors. We used popsicle sticks I had laying around and sent them out the next day. In the end, they were a great (albeit last minute!) project.
1 We simply tore off pieces of glassine – no cutting involved!
2 Then we picked colors Jen likes to make two kinds of ‘pops.’
3 The pink and yellow were my favorite.
4 Once we printed the clip art and adhered the glassine with spray mount, they were easy to cut out and write on.
